Here, my name is Tejou, Japanese for handcuffs due to my addiction to such shaped jewelery.
No one online really knows me for my love of the Japanese language, so I have yet to be labelled with terms like otaku or wapanese. Yet.
I’m 18 and in the Spring I’ll be attending Lehman college and my major is undecided. I work at a language school for 12 hours a week at $15 dollars an hour, and I get free group classes and discounts on private lessons. My Japanese teacher is Soshi and he has a twin named Sushi who plays guitar on Jamaica Avenue in Queens during the summer.
I’m highly attached to a creature named Carlos, who roams the gaming and graphics world as Hirashirou. This Halloween of ‘08 will make 4 years between us. He’s hardly who he was freshman year but I love him more for it.
My favorite color is a darkened shade of lime green, in hex code it’s #9ccc39 and in Pantone it’s 381 or 382. I don’t own any clothes in this color, or jewelery, but it’s my favorite color to look at and my bedroom walls have recently been painted that color.
I love the sound of the Japanese language. French accents suck empty snail shells compared to the sound of a person pouring their hearts out in Japanese. I’m fond of some anime but I watch a lot more live-action dramas, and sometimes I forget about focusing on vocabulary and grammar and get sucked into storylines. I’m not as fluent in Japanese as I’d like to be or could be, but I know a lot more than sugoi and kawaii, even if giving directions in a crowded subway in Japanese makes me nervous.
The original design of the character in my banner is by my friend Kynam, I just traced it horribly with the brush tool in photoshop and made the glasses rectangular and added an earring. Then I fussed around with the index card idea for about an hour. The banner makes me happy.
KONNICHIWA, Tejou
I just wanted to say hi and let you know how much I like your blog.
I find you and your sister to be very entertaining. It reminds me of the odd couple, LOL. You definitely have a star quality about you.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to future posts!

Hi Johnnie,
I’ve already sent you a fangirl email, so look forward to that~
With our wits and sarcasm combined feelings may get hurt, but me and my sister normally find an amusing common ground. I’m glad you’re enjoying my blog. Let me know if the posts ever get boring!
